Ukraine: Meet the Molotov cocktail slingshot
Fire continued to rage in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev on Thursday morning, with anti-government protesters firing molotov cocktails from home-made slingshots and fireworks at security forces. The protesters also continued to add to barricades constructed from paving stones, wooden boards and ice, while building stacks of burning tyres to ward off police raids.The US issued travel sanctions against Ukrainian officials accused of ordering violence against protesters in November and December on Wednesday. They have also warned of further action to come.
